YouTube are now testing their new LiveStream service. LiveStream and uStream have been doing the same thing for a long time, but do they now have some competition?
There are currently only four partners helping to test this new service and they are Howcast, Next New Networks, Rocketboom and Young Hollywood.

Insight Module Being Removed From Homepage

YouTube are doing away with the Insight modules you can display on the hompage. I actually like this feature, as it gives me the information I want as soon as I Log in. What do you guys think?

Our mission is to unite audiences across all seven continents of the globe for one week via the most compelling short films submitted each year. One World One Week One Festival is emblazoned within the rings that surround the Festivals Logo and it is this mantra that sets us apart from any other film event of the year.

NOTE: MANHATTAN SHORT is NOT an ONLINE Film Festival. Films are distibuted to our individual partnering cinemas throughout the world. MANHATTAN SHORT is not a Touring or travelling Film Festival...it is the world's first Global Film Festival, taking place in over 200 cities across 6 continents during one week. For a filmmaker who wants to get their short film out there, there is no greater test then MANHATTAN SHORT.

Our partnering cinemas are situated in Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and North America, including venues in all 50 States of the United States. In 2010 we will be adding venues in Africa to the event.

YouTube Bugs Fixed and Pre Roll Ads

YouTube have finally fixed some of the bugs that have been a pin for a long time now. They have sorted out the Inbox bug, so you can tell which are your new comments. Also you now get your emails again when someone subscribes to your channel.

YouTube partners now can have pre-roll adverts on their videos. Will this be the trend for all partners to start showing pre-roll ads? It is not compulsory for them to turn on pre-rolls, lets hope they don't.

Youtube are making changes the their menus again. they have changed the drop down menu and gone for a horizontal one instead.
